Preheat the oven to 200 C (390 F).
Ingredients

Instructions

Start the brown rice in salted water in a saucepan; it needs about 30 minutes.

Grate the ginger and garlic finely on a cutting board with a santoku knife and stir them with the maple syrup and soy sauce in a mixing bowl.

Cut the broccoli into florets, toss with the olive oil and black pepper on a baking pan, lay the salmon fillets beside it and brush them thickly with the glaze.

Roast in the oven at 200 C for 15-18 minutes, brushing the salmon once more with glaze halfway, until the fish flakes and the broccoli chars at the tips. Serve on the rice, scattered with sesame seeds.
Notes
The glaze doubles well; extra keeps a week in the fridge and works on chicken, tofu and roasted vegetables too.
